Indifference

Indifference is welcomed,
A place of uncaring thought desired,
So many imperfections, oh to just be blind,
Reflection sickens, turns light to dark,
Trappings of life cave in on the soul.

Indifference is needed to sift through the mire,
Aloof self loathing seems almost required,
Forgiveness is far from the sight of the mind,
Relentless deprecation, guilt with no spark,
A mind's eye war where head's in a hole.

Indifference is protection from confusion's bright fire,
Internal combustion of emotions rewired,
Solace from hate, a life without rewind,
Feeling feeding frenzy like the great white shark,
To hear an inside voice and somehow become whole.
